💡 In Gatsby, think of Campaigns as your emails. Leveraging Gatsby's features, you can seamlessly tailor and brand these emails, adding a personal touch to your communication. The following guide will walk you through the process of creating campaigns and utilizing templates for a more streamlined and personalized email experience.

Creating a New Campaign
- Within your desired event or group navigate to the Campaigns tab
- Click the New Campaign button
- Select Draft or Campaign
- Draft: Edit and add recipients before sending. Most flexible option.
- Campaign: Quickly build a message and save it directly to Campaigns.
- Enter a campaign name
- This is only visible internally
- Choose your sender (learn more here)
- Enter a subject line
- This is the subject line recipients will see
- Use the three dots to
- View version history
- Set reply to email
- cc teammates or bcc teammates
- load a template
- attach a calendar file
- save your campaign as a campaign or global template
- Use the paper clip to attach a file
- Enter your message
- Customization options
- In the bottom right corner of the email window you can customize the style
- Basic: this means the email will be formatted as your regular email (looks like the ones you send from your inbox)
- Marketing: allows for more customization (background, center images, etc). This is commonly used for newsletters
- An easy way to add personalization to your emails is through mail merge. To utilize go to the bottom left corner of the email and select the + sign
- First & Last Name: easily open emails with the recipients name
- Custom Field: pull in custom information that you have saved to your contact profile
- Add Event Details
- Go to the + in the bottom left corner
- You have a number of options to help you pull in event details
- Date and Location: this will pull the date and location into your email
- RSVP Image: this will pull the RSVP image into your email
- RSVP Link: This will allow you to direct recipients to the registration page where their RSVPs will be collected
- Customize your font and layout by selecting the A
- Change the color of your text, foreground, or background by selecting the palette icon
- The image icon gives you the option to upload an image or paste a URL
- To add a hyperlink click the highlight the word/section you would like and press the link button
- If you would like it to appear as a button toggle that option on
- Add sections/dividers in your email by selecting the -
- Test Your Message
- Add Recipients
- Send!

Creating a Template
There are two types of templates (Global templates and campaign templates).
- Global templates can be accessed from any event, group, or campaign. These can also be found in the template library for convenient editing.
